When Cicely marries Frederick Jackson in 1932 she is said to be a spinster, living at 29 Welham Road, Streatham, aged 30 - implying she was born about 1902.
There is no birth registration for a Cicely Ranson in the GRO indices.
According to the London Electoral Roll the inhabitants of 29 Welham Road are Edith and Martha Ransom. They first appear there in 1918 - implying they were both born before 1888. Neither appears there after 1931.
In 1931 Edith marries Leonard John Castle and says she is 28 - implying she was born about 1903. Martha Elizabeth Ranson is one of the witnesses.
Martha's signature in 1931 appears very similar to Cicely's signature in 1932 - see here.
Both Edith and Cicely claim their father is Harry Johnson Ranson, engraver.
It seems that Cicely is actually Martha and that both Cicely and Edith seriously lied about their ages.
